Our Intervention Plan

1. Alcoholism, domestic Violence and broken families:

Our intervention Plan:
  • De-addiction program for fathers has been divided in to 5 phases

  • This program is intended to make the life of children more peaceful and enjoy their childhood to the optimum.

2. Poverty: Unemployment & Failure of Agriculture (No alternative livelihood)

Our Alternative livelihood
  • Dr. S.V.K. has intervention for the community for the poverty reduction by Alternative livelihood program in this Villages. Some of our intervention like Animal Husbandry sector, skill training, poultry farming, and other vocational training also plays an important role in the strengthening the economy. Alternative livelihood program is providing employment opportunities to unemployed and underemployed rural poor.
Description of the activities:
  • 1. Livestock (Goatery / Cow Rearing / Poultry farming )
  • Livestock can provide a steady stream of food and income, help to raise whole farm productivity and, for millions of landless people, is the only livelihood option available, allowing the exploitation of common-property resources for private gain. Livestock production creates employment opportunities beyond the immediate household.
  • Activities
  • Purchase of fine breed livestock
  • Training and helping parents to develop livestock through systematic care
  • Marketing meat, milk and dairy products
  • Improve sales network of meat, milk and dairy products
  • 2. Employability Skill Development
  • Employability Skills are skills that apply across a variety of jobs and life contexts. They are, in the given context of Kakinada and Bangalore clusters, to be considered as key competency skills for parents to augment their family income in order to sustain their livelihoods even during lean season of agricultural operations. The beneficiaries have chosen ‘light motor vehicle driving license’ and ‘job oriented computer course’ as the relevant and appropriate employability skill to supplement their family income.
  • Activities
  • LMV Driving Training
  • LMV training as their livelihood option, as Bangalore city has a lot of scope for regular job placement. They would undergo the training and get a ‘Light Motor Vehicle’ driving license which will be their livelihood asset and they have the assurance of earning not less than Rs.6000/- as they are employed as drivers in the travel agencies.
  • Job oriented computer course
  • 2 persons with basic education have chosen this as their option to learn “Desk Top Publication” and “Computer Applications” which would fetch them a good opportunity for either employment or self-employed.
  • 3. Micro enterprises
  • To provide good vocational training to the chosen parents in the fields of their choice and to make them good skilled workmen/women which will fetch them a good job providing employment to support themselves and to improve their skills and to become successful and economically self-reliant. The trade to be established include, Tailoring / Dress making unit, Vegetable / Fruit vending unit, Mobile Iron (Clothe Pressing) shop, Footwear / Utensil selling shop, Petty shop/ Fast-food vending unit, Door-to-Door Garments selling, Cyber Café, Candle making unit and PA System / Electrical goods sales.
